Signing help
Find answers about uploads, invitations, and completed documents.
What files can I sign?
Use an unlocked PDF or a Word document ending in .docx, up to 10 MB and 60 pages. If your Word file uses an older format, save it as DOCX or PDF first.
Why does my Word preview look different?
The server converts Word files to PDF. Fonts and page breaks can shift during conversion. If layout matters, export a PDF from Word and upload that instead.
Do signers need an account?
No. Senders verify their email. Invited signers open a private link to review and sign the document.
What if someone hasn’t received an invitation?
Check the address and ask them to check spam. If the request is ordered, make sure the previous signer has finished. Open your verified sender link to send an eligible reminder or retry pending email.
How long are files available?
Self-signing links expire after one hour. Signing requests expire seven days after upload; the sender can set an earlier signing deadline. Download completed files before the request expires.
What comes with the signed document?
A completed multi-signer request includes the PDF with visible marks, a PDF signing summary, and a JSON signing record. It does not include a certificate-backed digital signature.
